Sound Baths – a Moment for Yourself at po.spolu

Treat yourself to a moment of peace where you can truly relax. Sound baths are a gentle relaxation technique that uses the tones of Tibetan and crystal bowls, rain sticks, Koshi chimes, and other instruments. The sounds will pleasantly relax you, help calm your mind, and create a sense of well-being.
In a peaceful environment, you can pause for a while, focus only on the present moment, and enjoy a space just for you.

The sound baths are led by Martina Chomátová, an experienced mindfulness instructor.

Why Attend Sound Baths?

Deep relaxation

The musical instruments I use help induce deep relaxation for our body and mind. Maybe you can't achieve this in everyday life. You experience stress and can't fully relax. You don't have a place at home where you can have peace and comfort. Thanks to shared intention and the use of musical instruments, your body will rest in a way it often doesn't get to.

Slowing down/changing thoughts

So many thoughts run through your head every day. No matter how hard you try, you can't slow your mind down, let alone stop it. Through the vibrations and harmonization of the instruments, your mind will tune in, and with that, the quality and content of your thoughts can change. You may come up with something new. You may gain perspective and distance in a difficult situation, you may let go of long-held issues. You can experience peace, relief from burdensome thoughts, inner silence.

Enjoy a musical experience differently

Sound baths are not a concert as we know it. It's not a predetermined set of pieces. It's improvisation. It's always a tailor-made experience for that particular moment and everyone who comes to enjoy the bath. That means you and your current topics.

Relaxation of body and breath

Thanks to mindfulness practice and breathing exercises, our body relaxes in a way it rarely does on busy days. We allow ourselves deep, harmonizing breathing and experience relief from muscle tension caused by our automatic movement patterns. If you have any physical issues, mindfulness, breathing practice, and sound baths will support your body at the level of every cell.
